    Although smaller and less well known than the nearby Assisi, Bevagna is a charming little hamlet of the greatest interest, with a history that goes back at least 2000 years.

    Bevagna is well-known for its Medieval Re-enactment Mercato delle Gaite, the most important and historically authentic event in the European panorama according to The Lonely Planet.

    Many crafts which flourished in the town and still continue to this day. We are incredibly fortunate to be able to not just see these crafts in action but also to step back in time and take part in workshops to produce paper, candles, silk weaving, artworks or even coin making, as well as architectural masterpieces.
